Hi hello I love your Euclidian designs could you explain their anatomy

tysm!! here's some bullshit biology. if i spelled anything wrong. um. i didnt

transcription (since my colors/handwriting are whack) and elaboration below cut hehe

"cellulose microfibril bricks, colored by carotenoid pigment (xanthophyll)" they help maintain the shape of the cell/provide structural integrity to an overall squishy organism. the pigment xanthophyll is yellow (because. bill. yellow) and facilitates photosynthesis yay solar power. the nature of bill's mutation includes a full wall of this shit covering his whole body like a carapace

""brain"/ganglia" very rudimentary nervous system that's just a bundle of nerves hooked up to the eyes. important to note that the nerves are robust and mobile like electrical wires so don't mind being jostled by eye movement

"cilia assist in movement and sensing" leeetle hairs that aren't hairs at all but microtubules coated by the plasma membrane. kinda like whiskers/barbels but used for swimming

"double membrane (two phospholipid bilayers), pseudopods made of actin filaments and filled with cytoplasm" and also "pseudopods are mobile and variable (stretchy) the gripperssssssss if you wanna see some epic pseudopod action just look up amoeba hunting on youtube

"eyelids and "lashes"/teeth" the retractable sheathes that cover the eye have scutes that can flex and poke out as a sorta velcro-y set of teeth and manipulate objects

"mitochondrial pump" i'm sorry to say i didn't actually have an idea of what this organ was when i drew the first drawing don't tell anyone but i make shit up as i go along ummm but now it's the pseudo-heart organelle that generates atp (mitochondria) and circulates shit 'round the body (pump)

"2D eyes can perceive color, brightness, and a single layer/line of depth" so these basically work how the eyes work in flatland where euclideans can only see an infinitely thin plane of color and shadow

"reproductive organs and gametes" my euclideans have external fertilization where a pair (any pair works cuz they all have the same haploid gams) just mush together their gametes to make a baby love wins i didn't really think this through shhh i just cant imagine these things fucking im sorry they're too weird maybe the foreplay goes crazy idk

that's basically it uhm i labeled each shape as "cuboidal", "triangular", and "circular" and then that "circles are (superficially) bilaterally symmetrical" cuz they only got the one eye oh and the circular one is labeled as "juvenile has no compartment for reproductive organs" cuz why not ok bye

she does need sleep! she doesn't need to sleep as often as people, but she's a little wraith and she needs to snooze every like... i dunno. three days? sure, let's go with that.

although in the first few days of her being on PNF404, i could see her getting bored one night and poking around her crewmate's rooms to see what they're doing (spoilers: they're all just sleeping). in the morning after, dingo talks about a very bizarre dream he had with a specter watching him sleep! everyone dismisses it as the ranger having some weird sleep paralysis, but pom's sweating at the table thinking about how she should be way more careful if she does that again.

this ask did inspire me though, i'll probably make more art explaining how she works sometime later hehe...

that'd be scary... although, if there's anyone incentivized to wraithify olimar, it'd probably be the plasm wraith! that golden goo is really fond of him, and they'd love to make olimar just like them

she might look kinda scary but she's a sweetheart!! pom would genuinely struggle to make herself hurt humans. if there's a beast threatening her crew though -- that thing is mince meat!!

yes!! he's the first one to discover her secret. it'd probably happen on accident out on the field pretty early on when pom is forced to defend herself with no pikmin, but it's no difference to Oatchi -- pom is pom! he'd bark and give her helmet a lick, and when pom realizes her rescue pup isn't scared of her it's quite the relief...

she doesn't need to eat human food, but she does need to consume living creatures for biomass! human food is definitely delicious and she very much enjoys things like chocolate or hot coco, but to sustain her form and keep up energy she has to go for creatures

i'll probably make art for this later to explain better, but it is kinda like an amoeba -- after killing something, she can cover it and dissolve it with her goo. easy peasy!

YES!!!!!!!!! there are so, so many ways that could happen and each one is hilarious... i've written out a few different scenarios, i should pick one to draw out... it'd be funny if dingo learns her secret but decides to trust her and keep it safe. but he's, you know. dingo. he's not good at lying, especially to his crewmates (and especially to his actual childhood friend of a doctor who was already very suspicious of the new blood!)

of COURSE i'm very abnormal about those two.... actually if y'all have scenarios you wanna see with those two, send more asks and i'll probably end up drawing them lol

that's actually a really good question! i haven't thought too much about how her full wraith would visually change, but if she ate enough and got stronger i imagine she'd finally be as big as the other two. she'd probably gain more wraithy abilities and attacks! trying to take down a powered up full wraith pom would be a very difficult fight, even for those with the best dandori skills and a full squad of pikmin

So Pirarucu has to keep her Monster form a secret for a while, and that includes keeping it from Clione. One such time including spilling water on herself shortly after learning how to change back from said Monster form, while at home, no less.

(She doesn't even know why she turned into her aquatic Nega-King Amoeba form when she first transformed, either)

Sunny and Basil, and Something

And how their story may go deeper than the Incident

OMORI-true route, hikkikomori route SPOILERS WARNING!

Something I noticed is that Sunny has a pretty fixed picture for what Basil's SOMETHING looks like. Even if he doesn't go out of the house to actually face Basil. Basil also describes what he sees in a few occasions and it matches Sunny's visualisation. What if.. Basil did have his Something before the incident? But that thought isn't mine, and I should give credit to @trojaex and their amazing fic Chewing Away

What I thought about is, as we know Sunny and Basil talked a lot, and Basil confided in Sunny with a lot of his secrets. I think they talked about that too. Basil keeps to himself a lot without Sunny, but with him? He would talk, and talk so so much..

Setting: Sunny and Basil are at Basil's house, in his room. Sunny's still 11. Basil is sitting on the floor, and Sunny is on Basil's bed with his sketchbook. Basil has been talking about the scary monster he sees sometimes, and how huge and overwhelming and bad it feels, and Sunny's listening attentively, occasionally scribbling to stay focused

Basil: So... Yea. Are you drawing, Sunny? What is it? Sunny shows the picture. It's a small sad Basil surrounded by his Something, teeth and the pointy sticky shadow Basil: oh. Sunny: it looks like that, right? Basil: yeah.. It does feel like it stares occasionally though. Sunny looks at his drawing again, erases a bit and draws in an eye, shows it to Basil Basil: ooo, yeah! :"D Sunny: ... *looks at it again* Sunny: ..It looks like an amoeba Basil: Huh-? Sunny: ...amoebas are tiny... Are you tiny, Basil? Sunny: you're a tiny little boy, and that's an amoeba which wants to eat you He's scribbling again now. Basil is dumbfounded. He's still kinda shaken up after venting Sunny: I'm still big though, so don't worry, I can protect you. He erases part of the second doodle, of a small Amoeba-something chasing a tiny Basil Sunny: hehe Basil finally snaps out, and they both start laughing at the small drawings. The boys end up discussing microorganisms. Basil is the one infodumping again

At one point though, Sunny isn't around anymore.

"What, did I ruin something between you and your crush?"

"My w-who? Who?"

Taehoon flicks his forehead. "You look distressed. I didn't mean to, you know? Okay. I'll help you with him."

"Help me with who with what."

"I'll help you win back your four eyed prince, heehe! I mean, it's obvious he likes you back. How he's checking on you and all that. Don't worry, I'm an absolute pro at this."

And maybe Taehoon's a little cute but what he actually is.. is an absolute dolt of a boy and Dowoon wants to start crying.

Amoeba by clairo, it clearly has a comforting sense to me, and it helps me feel at ease when I'm not feeling at my best, I associate it as a safe place to take a break from my anxiety honestly :)

No surprises by Radiohead is most likely my favorite song at the moment, I feel like it describes well those leftover feelings I have been experimenting for I don't know how long, it is once again, very calming to me, and I would probably put it in my 3 top songs ever

I also really really REALLY like mitski, lately I have been listening to once more to see you a lot, as well as brand new city for whenever I'm feeling angry, a pearl and liquid smooth !! Though I listen to a lot more of her songs, these are just the ones I have been listening more often lately :D
